Hanna Wiskari
Saxophone
Hanna has always been surrounded by music. She started by playing
the recorder and singing in choirs, but at the age of 10 the
saxophone entered her life.
She maintains an interest in different styles of music, such as jazz and classical,
but the swedish folk music has always been her passion. This influence comes
mostly from her father who plays the keyharp.
While the saxophone is not a traditional instrument, Hanna finds new ways to
express an age-old tradition and finds the process being an interesting journey.
The saxophone players Sten Källman and Jonas Knutsson have been, and still
are, great sources of inspiration, as well as the fiddlers Sven Ahlbäck
and Ellika Frisell.
Hanna is very interested in the music from her home county of Bohuslän,
but also plays tunes from Gästrikland, Dalarna and other parts of Sweden. |

The best thing with Mia and Petter
is their energy and commitment
to music. Playing with them is like surfing on a big wave, relax
and just let go!
